Weinmann Burl with Gold DM

These finely detailed botanical engravings are based on works by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann (1683–1741), a German apothecary and botanist best known for his monumental publication Phytanthoza Iconographia (published 1737–1745).  

The compositions showcase a variety of medicinal and ornamental plants, rendered with scientific accuracy and elegant balance. Weinmann’s work is especially admired for bridging early botanical science with decorative artistry, making these images both historically important and visually timeless. 

Each engraving is professionally framed with conservation clear glass, double mats and a burl wood frame, complementing the natural subject matter while giving the pieces a warm, classic presence suitable for traditional, transitional, or collected interiors.
