Giclee Reproductions of Les Liliacées by Pierre Joseph Redoute(1759-1840) originally published from 1802-1816. This set of botanical prints is considered one of the greatest ever produced. The original print was a stipple engraving which was made up of little tiny dots in the engraved plate and after printing(or pressing the inked plate on the paper) the image was hand colored with water color. Digitally remastered to fix aging and defects to make them look as they did in the 1820s. This wonderful series is printed in the highest quality possible on acid free cotton rag paper with archival inks.
Print size is 14 by 21 inches.
