Floréal: Dessins & Coloris Nouve

Giclée reproductions of  "Floréal: Dessins & Coloris Nouveaux" (Floreal: New Designs and Colors), created by Emile-Allain Séguy and published in Paris by A. Calavas in 1925 . This album contains 20 plates featuring semi-abstract motifs inspired by flowers, which were likely intended for use in textile and wallpaper designs. The designs are executed in bold colors and blend elements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. Through these illustrations, Séguy's fascination with the natural world as a source of artistic inspiration is evident. The use of the pochoir printing technique, popular in France at the turn of the 20th century, allowed for the vibrant colors of nature to be accurately captured.

Our Giclee reproductions are printed on acid free cotton rag paper with archival ink. The ink we use has a lightfastness rating of 200 years. This means it should not fade in our life time.  Both sizes on our site will fit standard frame sizes. All Seguy Pattern sets match in background and size. The wording is different at the top and bottom but they can pair with other set in the Seguy collection easily.
