Original hand colored copperplate prints from The Botanist’s Repository by Henry C. Andrews, published in the 1790s. Andrews was a leading English botanical artist and engraver of the late eighteenth century, widely respected for his refined draughtsmanship and elegant botanical compositions.

Each antique print is over 225 years old and is presented in museum quality archival framing. The artwork is housed in a classic Italian gold moulding and finished with a sophisticated triple mat presentation. The print is floated above the bottom mat, allowing the viewer to appreciate the natural deckled edges and plate mark, which are defining characteristics of authentic copperplate engravings from this period. The double visible mat opening adds depth and visual refinement, while the third mat beneath supports the floating presentation.

All framing materials are fully archival and include conservation clear glass, acid free matboard, and acid free archival backing, ensuring long term preservation of the artwork.

Outside frame approx. 18.75 inches tall by 15.825 inches wide.
Print size measures approximately 10.5 inches by 8 inches.
